Inflation? Not here at R&B!! We are holding all pricing at 2007 levels. All reports are telling us how dreadful the economy is and will be. So, here is some good news. We will match any framing quote you have from others and then reduce it by 5%.

We are not passing through increases in costs we have been given by suppliers. So, bring in those framing projects. We will make it a positive, quality experience without sticker shock.

Beginning with this edition of the COLLECTOR, we will publish the newsletter quarterly instead of monthly.

We all receive a great deal of advertising through our email. Thus, we are reducing the frequency in the spirit of fair use of the technology.

The Rag and Bone Collector - November 2007

New works by Amy Ryan
We have discovered a wonderful young artist from Cranston, Amy Ryan. She works in oil with interesting uses of various finishing touches that provide dimensions and highlights.
In the gallery now are three of her works including the one above and a diptych as well.
You may also see some of her other works at her website www.amyryan.net.
These pieces are finished with a wonderful gallery wrap and are medium in size. They could be hung with or without framing.

MULDOON RECEPTION BIG SUCCESS
About 100 of you attended the reception on October 5th that opened the show of Eileen Muldoon, Jamestown photographer, and Winner of the 1st Place Photography Award for the Newport Art Museum 2006 Annual Juried Exhibition.

The show continues and may be extended as it has been popular. Do try to come in and see these wonderful images.

The Rag and Bone Collector - September 2007

SOLO EXHIBITION BY EILEEN M. MULDOON - OCT 5
Eileen Muldoon, Jamestown photographer, and Winner of the 1st Place Photography Award for the Newport Art Museum 2006 Annual Juried Exhibition, will be exhibiting at R&B beginning Oct 5th for two weeks.

Ms. Muldoon will be showing all new work from 2007. There will be 20 images from near and far.

The exhibit will open at 7pm on Oct 5th with a reception in the R&B gallery. Please save the date and come for an evening of pARTying.

New Works by Chris Horney
North Carolina artist Chris Horney is now represented in the gallery at R&B. The first table to arrive is the Sofa Table he designed and crafted in woods of maple and mahogany. Chris' works are seen nationally via the "THE ARTFUL HOME" catalog and he is represented across the country in several galleries.

R&B Hires Diana Coderre
R&B continues to grow and expand our capabilities. Latest news is about Diana Coderre who has become a part-time employee. Diana brings archival framing experience to the operations and an attitude for customer service that is wonderful. Diana is initially working Wednesdays and Sundays. Diana is also a partner in The Digital Ark in Newport and we hope to do projects together with her in that company.

pARTy, NEW SHOW AND MORE
Despite dreadful weather, 60 of you warmed the R&B gallery on May 18th. Good friends, new friends and family all had a wonderful evening. Thank you all so much for making this such fun. A huge part of our motivation comes from having and making friendships through the medium of art. Next pARTy is the event below.

MAY 18, MAY 18 MAY 18!!!! Please mark you calenders. Herk and Milly are holding a casual open house from 7 to 9 at the new location of R & B. We intend to have a number of new pieces on display. The New Location of Rag & Bone
RAG & BONE ART & DESIGN has a brand new home. 664 Thames St, across from 'MAMA LUISA'S. There are many new things about the space, but one of the foremost is out on the street. Right in front of the new location are two parking spaces. Easy in, easy out.

New Home for Rag & Bone
For 12 years Rag and Bone has served its loyal customers from the tiny space on Deblois St. The new owners, Herk and Milly, have decided to invest in a larger location, WITH PARKING RIGHT OUTSIDE THE FRONT DOOR!!! The new space is about 4 times as large as Deblois St. The gallery will enable shows and feature artists to be properly hosted. The framing shop will larger and better equipped.
